INSTALLING
Ultimate binder is equipped with a hook positioner that allows the binder to be held at one end while the positioned hook at the other end is engaged with the chain. This allows the binder in most cases, to be installed by an operator, standing on the ground at the side of the unit.

TENSIONING
Ultimate binder is tensioned by engaging a portable impact wrench, equipped with an extension bar, ball or wobble universal joint and a socket which engages and rotates the central bolt in the binder. The operator is usually positioned at the end of the binder
( can be standing on the ground).

Warning
Never exceed the working load limit of a binder or the securement assembly, doing so can result in severe personnel injury or death. The design factor is based on destructive labboratory controlled testing conditions, which will not be exactly duplicated during actual load use.
REMOVING BINDER
Removal of the binder from the load is just the revers of the installation and tensioning operation. The operator should rotate the bolt until the end of the bolt is close to the bottom of the yoke. In this position the binder, when collapsed, (the yokes pushed together) will be be fully closed for storage and subsequently ready to be fully opened ( yokes pulled apart), when the operator prepares it for installation on the next load. This eliminates any rotation of the bolt before the next use. This will become an automatic part of the opening operation during use..
Operators can quickly become familiar with the binder and establish how to use it to their best advantage.
It is recommended that the power driver be operate at low speed when first tensioning a new binder since the threads are usually tight and parts of the binder may try to rotate. (light lubricant on the threads can produce a smooth operation).
Once the operator is comfortable with the operation of the binder, the binder is broken in and he has determined how he will us it, he will find the speed of installation and tensioning can be increased significantly.
Binder Maintenance
Binders should be routinely inspected for wear, cracks, bending, nicks,or gouges. If cracks or bending are detected the binder should not be used ( put out of service )until the effected parts are replaced with correct Ultimate Binder parts.
Threads should be lighty lubricated to reduce friction wear and provide smooth operation.
